Famous singer Bamba Bakya is no more, died due to cardiac arrest

 

Popular singer Bamba Bakya , best known for giving several hit songs in the Tamil film industry, has passed away. He was 49 years old. Reports circulating on social media suggest that the singer passed away due to cardiac arrest. He sang several hits in Mani Ratnam's upcoming magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan' including the opening lines of the recently released 'Ponni Nadhi'.

Bakya being his original name, the singer was called Bamba Bakya because he used to perform songs like a Sufi singer Bamba. Before presenting film songs, Bamba Bakya was known for rendering devotional songs. Some of the songs the singer is known for include Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0's Pulinangal and Vijay-starrer Sarkar's Simtangaran. Many stars of the Tamil film world have mourned the death of Bamba Bakya.

Actor Karti tweeted, "Really saddened by the sudden demise of Bamba Bakya. I pray that his family and friends find strength to bear this heavy loss. Actor Shantanu Baghyaraj also expressed his condolences on Twitter. Loved his voice, he tweeted. Gone too soon.
